About GoWithHeart
“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” These words of Confucius gave GoWithHeart its name and motto. We believe the best trips start with curiosity: wanting not just to “have been there”, but to understand a place, its people, its food and its rhythm of life.
What GoWithHeart is
GoWithHeart is a travel guide for people who plan their own trips. On the Website you will find:
- Countries — where to start, when to go, money, language, main cities and regions;
- Cities — what to see, where to walk, how to get there and how much time to allow;
- Places — sights, beaches, markets, where to eat and what to do, with photos and practical tips.
We keep adding new destinations, and an AI route planner is on the way to help you build an itinerary around your dates, budget and interests.
Who is behind it
GoWithHeart was created by Alona Honcharuk — a product and UI designer and web developer with more than 15 years of experience. Alona lives in Malta and works with clients across Europe; GoWithHeart is her own project, bringing together a love of travel and a love of technology.
Alona is personally responsible for the Website: from design and the technical side to editorial rules and checking the texts.
How we create our guides
We are open about how we work:
- Sources. Every guide starts with collecting facts from public sources, including Wikipedia and Wikivoyage.
- Artificial intelligence. Based on these facts, AI writes a draft following our editorial rules: real place names instead of generic phrases, practical value instead of filler.
- Review. An automated check looks for inaccurate or doubtful claims, and an editor reads the text before it is published.
- Languages. Guides are prepared in Ukrainian and then professionally translated into English.
- Photos. Images come from the Pexels, Unsplash and Pixabay stock libraries and are used under their licences.
We publish new pages gradually and regularly update existing ones. Still, travel changes fast, so please check important details with official sources before you go — as our Terms of Use also say.
How the Website is funded
GoWithHeart is free for readers. Some links on the Website are partner links: if you book a hotel or a tour, or buy something through such a link, we may earn a small commission. The price for you does not change, and our recommendations do not depend on commissions — we recommend what we believe is useful for your trip.
