Cookie Policy
Effective date: 22 October 2026
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies GoWithHeart (gowithheart.com, the “Website”) uses, why we need them and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They let the website “remember” your settings between pages and visits — for example, your chosen language or your choice about cookies themselves. Some cookies are set by the Website itself (first-party cookies), others by third-party services we use, such as Google Analytics (third-party cookies).
Cookies can be session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay for a set period or until you delete them.
2. How we ask for your consent
On your first visit you see a banner where you can accept all cookies, keep only the necessary ones or customise your choice by category. Until you consent, the Website uses only necessary cookies, and, thanks to Google Consent Mode v2, Google Analytics sets no cookies and stores no identifiers in your browser.
The banner runs on our own Website and does not send your choice to third parties. Your choice is kept for 180 days, after which we ask again. You can change your mind at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Necessary
The Website cannot work properly without them, so they are always on and do not require consent.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
OCSESSID | GoWithHeart | Session identifier: links your requests across pages, needed for forms and protection against forged requests | until you close the browser |
language | GoWithHeart | Remembers your chosen Website language | 30 days |
currency | GoWithHeart | Remembers the currency for displaying prices | 30 days |
gwh_consent | GoWithHeart | Stores your choice in the cookie banner (analytics, marketing) | 180 days |
3.2 Analytics
These help us understand which pages are read, where visitors come from and what to improve on the Website. They are set only if you consent to the “Analytics” category.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Random identifier used to distinguish visitors in statistics | 2 years |
_ga_Q4GMD93087 | Google Analytics | Keeps the session state for our GA4 property | 2 years |
3.3 Marketing
We currently do not use marketing cookies. The category is in the banner in advance: if we add advertising, social media pixels (for example, the Pinterest Tag or Meta Pixel) or partner widgets that set cookies, they will run only with your consent to “Marketing”, and we will add them to this table before they go live.
4. Cookies on partner websites
When you follow a partner link (for example, to a hotel or tour booking service), you land on the partner’s website. There the partner may set its own cookies — for example, to attribute your booking to our Website. These cookies are governed by the partner’s privacy and cookie policies, not by this Policy. See section 2.8 of our Privacy Policy for details.
5. How to control cookies
- On the Website: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page and change your choice. If you withdraw consent to analytics, no new analytics cookies will be set; existing ones can be deleted in your browser.
- In your browser: most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies — look for “Privacy” or “Cookies” in the settings. If you block all cookies, some features of the Website (such as remembering your language) may not work.
- Google Analytics: Google also offers a browser add-on that turns off Google Analytics on all websites.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We update this page whenever we add or remove cookies. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of the page. If new cookies require consent, the banner will ask you again.
